English spoken
A dentist in Helsinki you can actually talk to
Finding a dentist after you move is harder than it should be. You have to describe pain precisely, understand what is being proposed, and decide whether to spend real money on it — all in a language you may be halfway through learning.
At Providental you do not have to. Every dentist here speaks English, and between the seven of us we also speak Swedish, German, French, Greek, Polish and Russian. A first check-up is €45.
Eight languages under one roof
We are a small independent practice, so the person you book with is the person who treats you — and you can pick the one you are most comfortable talking to. Tell us which language you would prefer when you book and we will put you with the right clinician.

Frequently asked questions
Coming to us from abroad
Can I be treated entirely in English?
Yes. Every dentist here speaks English, so the examination, the explanation and the treatment plan are all in English. Nothing gets lost because you had to describe a symptom in a language you are still learning.
I have just moved to Finland. How does Kela work?
If you are covered by Finnish social security, Kela reimburses part of most dental treatments. We deduct it when you pay — just bring your Kela card. Our price list shows both the list price and what you actually pay, so you can see the difference before you book.
Do I need a Finnish personal identity code to book?
You can book an appointment without one. Bring whatever identification you have to the first visit and we will sort out the rest at reception.
Can I get an appointment outside working hours?
We are open on Saturdays 10:00–16:00, which most clinics in central Helsinki are not. On weekdays we are open until 17:00.
