Thomas is the lead dentist at Providental. He qualified in 1996, went on to a two-year Master of Science in Restorative Dentistry at the University of Helsinki, and later completed a two-year postgraduate diploma in orthodontics in London.

Thomas qualified as a dentist in 1996. He then completed a two-year Master of Science in Restorative Dentistry at the University of Helsinki in 2000, a programme that included clinical patient work equivalent to a specialist qualification.
During his studies he was awarded the Planmeca prize as student of the year.
In 2020 he completed a two-year postgraduate diploma in orthodontics in London, and he plans the clinic's orthodontic and clear-aligner treatments.

A treatment plan is only useful if the patient understands it. Thomas takes the time to explain what he is seeing, what he would do about it and what happens if nothing is done — and then leaves the decision where it belongs.
